Love is in the air!!!
Life seems so mundane and boring when there is nothing eventful. Koushik was honestly an event in my life. His coming into my life made life so beautiful and meaningful. I always felt so secure with him. Mom and dad knew about him so there were more reasons to feel good about the whole thing. We had more reasons to miss class, bunk lectures, sit on the katta and talk for hours. We just had to know so much about each other. Studies had taken a back seat for some time.

He does Like me atleast!!!
The morning seemed like just another morning. He was in classes too. All of us were as usual having a chit chat session. While we were having a conversation, we were talking about commitment and so on. And I just made a statement that one should either say yes or no in a relationship. it’s not nice to keep someone waiting without knowing the final answer. He again came to the basement. and I wondered ewhat had changed his mind in 24 hours. He came to the basement and told me, yes I will marry you but subject to the fact that his parents are ok with the whole thing? I was on cloud nine and didn’t know how to react. Too happy to believe. We both went up and he immediately called up his father and told him the whole story. His father seemed quite nice and told him he can go ahead. It was after all his life. I too went to office very happy and called up my mom from there and told her the story only changed it to and said that he had asked me out and not me.

Love expressed!!!!!!!!!
Something had been going on in my mind through all these days. As though I know I know he was just Mr right in my life and everything about him seemed too perfect. And even if something had to happen between us there was very little reason for my parents to refuse.
That day seemed the day that god chose when I ahd to tell him what I had felt about him . just like any other day he came to the basement to drop me. We had our usual bit of chat session and then with great courage I asked him, ‘ will u marry me?’ he was more than surprised and probably didn’t know how to react. He was dumb struck. just didn’t know what to say. And he gave me the regular stuff( that normally any girl would give a guy who askes her out.) see we both need to concentrate and study now . these things can happen any time in life. This is the time that we both shape our careers.aso I come from a closely knit family and I would not take such decisions without asking my parents. If they say no I would not like to get into a relationship. So I would not like to commit to you now. And how much do we know each other to get into a relationship. Its too early to decide now. Its not that I don’t like u but its too early to decide on marriageLet us give it some time and all the usual stuff. Quite disappointed I left for office that day. It was not that he totally dismissed the whole thing. Felt that he also did like me but there were too many constraints for him to accept the offer. In the evening too he didn’t say much about it, and the day was over.

Something was cooking
Tina was back and now we were a nice group chatting together . tina knew in and out of me and she asked me what was cooking between the two of us. I promptly said that nothing and it was too early for something to be cooking . and since we were also bunking lectures there was more reason to believe that something was actually wrong

27th Nov 2001 to 2nd December 2001
27th Nov 2001 to 2st December 2001
How much do u think could have changed in a week’s time? From not knowing a person, to befriending him and then getting to talk to him; and then just to add to all this Tina had to go to Bangalore, leaving the two of us alone. As thought it was meant to be like that. Tina left for Bangalore on the 27th of November and was to be back on 3rd of December. From the time she left as though suddenly there was a world of change. Someone gave me some details about Koushik and the details given were more than enough to impress any girl around.
Got to know that he was a triplet; rather was pursuing all three CA, ICWA and CS. And had won a few awards in the Institute.
This was all I knew. From the time Tina left there was something that pulled me to him and we got talking. There was this feeling of comfort. And to add to this, 6 hours in a day was a long time. (That is the duration of time we spent in classes)
It was as though I waited to go to class not to attend the lectures, but to spend time yapping away with him. Our chat sessions began with the time in the middle of the lectures and continued with not attending a particular lecture because it was quite boring (not that it seemed so earlier).
Koushik used to come to leave me to the basement every day after classes. So in addition to the talks amongst the whole crowd there was a bit of personal communication too.
There was this one day when koushik did not turn up for class (not that he was very regular … and even if he did come it was not that he was paying attention or was very sincere) somehow the fact that Tina was not there made me instantly go to the STD booth and call him, just to find out that he was just up from his sleep and would be there for the next lecture. The first lecture seemed so boring that day. And the moment Mr Smart turned up it was full of life.
By now the comfort level between us was very good, and also we had known a lot about each other. Something prompted me to tell him everything about myself. By now I had known that he was a tamilian; an Iyengar to be more precise hailed from Gujarat and just to add to all this was in the process of being well qualified too.
One of the days Koushik was not in class and as usual the first thig to do was to call him up. But this time I called him after the morning sessions just to find out that he was still fast asleep. I called him and left for office just to find out that he was there in the next 10 minutes , but alas I had already left. This is what the shopkeeper told me in the evening.
This was the first thing that made me suddenly think why should a guy come immediately when a girl calls him up? Hmm I started wondering if he ahd started liking me…
Now my approach to him had also changed . suddenly there was a shyness , the blushes and the flirtatious talks that we would both have . h yeah and today Is my last day of freedom . nothing much . just that Tina will be back from tomorrow.
