My first surprise from Koushik!!!!

Surprises were not occasional rather I had no surprises in my life. Everything was always fixed in my life and pre decided. One day when I was in class Koushik told me to come dressed well the next day. He told me a friend of his was coming from Bharuch to Pune and being a very good friend he would like to meet me. I was all set to meet someone who he claimed to be so close to him.
The next day I came all decked in a lavender salwar suit. He picked me up from classes and told me we were to go to station to see his friend. All exited we waited outside a restaurant. Suddenly I saw a middle aged man come and give Koushik a nice big hug. I was a bit nervous and to my surprise even before I had time for reaction koushik introduced the gentleman to me as his father. I was shocked, spell bound and everything that one could expect. His father seemed so cool (of course he had no reason of being scared) . We then went to a hotel and had lunch. I wonder what his father thought I was and preferred three fried rice. As it is I was known to be a poor eater and that too with his father in front of me there was no way I could get anything below my throat. After the short and surprise visit his father left and we were to ourselves. It was a good surprise but scary experience as well .His father seemed quite a strict person apparently ; of course that was too early to decide but at least the first impression made me feel so.

His first visit to our house

I came from a relatively conservative family wehre my parents would not like me going with a guy on a bik e or not fall in love and so on. I remember some day during these happy days of ours, there was a reason for him to come home. He had actually decided that he would not come home till his parents came. But due to some compulsion he had to come. Right from the beginning my mother was quite ok with the whole thing; It was my father who somehow would not get convinced. I also had some there marriage proposals that my parents were looking at. When he first interacted with my father my father told him how he was not happy with the whole thing and how he would go on with other proposals and go ahead till something actually was certain about the two of us. Koushik was more than shocked about this. How could my father say that when were were already into a relationship and had plans of marriage. Anyways there was not much he could say since his parents had not met mine and things were still to be certain so that my father got some assurance.
